It's free admission and according to TIME Asia, there will be workshops conducted by "an international art curator and various Andy Warhol experts", so even though we're not AEP, I say it's a good learning opportunity and we should all go! Besides, it's FOC and we should all get out of the house during the hols.

If anyone's interested in this activity or wishes to know more about Andy Warhol, here's the link. There's a whole series of great music at the BBC Radio that we might want to listen to!
Highlights:

The Making of Music
This programme has chose a few topics ALL of us should listen to! On Monday, the topic is Neoclassicism, featuring Pulcinella and the classical symphony! On Tuesday, we find Hindemith in their show on Gebrauchmusik!

46/60. Into the Past

In the 1920s, Stravinsky, Poulenc and Prokofiev looked to the past to give a new dimension to their music, and neo-classicism became the vogue. Music includes Stravinsky's Pulcinella and Prokofiev's Classical Symphony.

47/60. Music for the Masses

A new democracy started to rise in music as composers like Vaughan Williams and Carl Orff encouraged participation from their audiences, who were able to buy vinyl discs for the first time. Plus music by Weill and Hindemith.

Composer of the Week
I love rags!!! And guess who is the featured composer of the week??? Scott Joplin! If you like rags too, you can catch a whole collection of approx. 5 hours of rags!!! One hour a day!

If these are not enough, there are pieces that are popular and nice, and even some a few of us have tried...
A few recordings of Tchaikovsky's violin concerto, a handful of Rossini (for Zenn), Pictures at the Exhibition (For the trumpeters, Petite suite (Gabriel and Timothy) AND MANY MORE...

It would be good to try to catch the music soon, cos they will no longer be available one week after it's up on the website... Hope you guys will enjoy youselves!Boy!http://www.blogger.com/profile/03699392683654355786noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-885296223184065062.post-27331574303378339842007-10-02T22:57:00.000+08:002007-10-02T23:26:46.212+08:00Libertango! I don't wish to say it further.

2) No/little publicity also means too much ticketing and programme done.

Is there a need for too many (from my view it is now pretty alright, no offence intended) people on ticketing and programme committees? Boring is the word.

Poor division of manpower and organisation. We do not want to be criticised for it.

Your friends' effort in ticketing and programme are going into the drain. Yay. I promise I'll make a layout for it after promos (: It might be yellow. It might also be red. Or blue. Or black. Or white.

Anyway here's a useful document:
H2 Music Syllabus

Scroll all the way down for details to the focus works for gamelan and indian music. Hopefully, by next year, we would have gotten our hands (and ears) on all these recordings ;)
It tells you exactly what we need to know too so that's good.

While I'm at this, you may recall that we have to pay for our Hindee scores. (The stunningly beautiful yellow ones)
In addition to the $33 that they cost, there's $5 shipping or something cost as well. So people who've paid me $33 may still have yet to pay me $5.

PEOPLE WHO STILL OWE ME $38
Yezi
Dominic aka Brains
Shunta

PEOPLE WHO OWE ME $5
Royce <3
Ruiheng
Chenn Zua
Woonie
Yihui
Joyce
Myself
Jinjun
Mel

Lood Guck for promos, my friends! May we all get As. And remember to do your compos! Don't procrastinate!

<3 JaneAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com0
